Dr David Santana García is a renowned clinical cardiologist with more than thirty years of medical experience, the last twenty of which have been devoted exclusively to cardiology. He trained at the Institute of Cardiology in Havana, Cuba, and later obtained his specialist certification at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona. He has been working in our city for 15 years, focusing on critical cardiovascular patients and the management of complex cases.
He holds a master’s degree in critical cardiovascular patient care and a master’s degree in cardiac imaging.
He has coordinated several working groups.
He has been an assistant cardiologist at the Sant Jordi Cardiovascular Centre (Barcelona), coordinator of the Day Hospital and Cardiovascular Emergency Service at the Teknon Heart Institute, and most recently coordinator of a highly complex team at the Nou Delfos Hospital in Barcelona.
He is currently more dedicated to the care of chronic cardiology patients and cardiac rehabilitation, without abandoning clinical cardiology in general.
He is a member of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC) and the Catalan Society of Cardiology (SCC).
