Dr. Lorenzo Álvarez

Dr. Lorenzo Álvarez is a specialist in Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, with more than 20 years of experience in treating vascular diseases. A Doctor of Surgery from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, graduating Cum Laude, he combines his clinical work at Hospital de Terrassa with private practice. He focuses particularly on the comprehensive management of venous disease and the advanced treatment of hard-to-heal wounds.

He is a national reference in the management of complex wounds, with an outstanding record in teaching and research, coordinating clinical guidelines and working on Master’s programs in vascular pathology, and has authored more than 50 scientific publications. At Monarka, he co-leads the vascular health and venous disease area, contributing his interdisciplinary perspective to the development of prevention and treatment protocols. He is a member of scientific societies such as SEHER, SEACV, SCACVE, and GNEAUPP, and sits on scientific committees on cardiovascular risk and vascular access. He is a former vice president of the Spanish Wound Society (Sociedad Española de Heridas).
